Killer Errors of Website Designers

Website designing has turned to be a lucrative skill today. Anyone who uses it as personal or corporate job or as a means of making money must do it in a way that may attract more clients. To have a perfect website, there are killer errors that should be avoided.

Long Paragraph make the content of your website short, for longer ones could be too tiring to read. No internet user may want to spend too many hours on the net. Don’t compare book a work where long paragraphs are not an offence.

Vocabulary – mind the way you use your words. All categories of people visit the internet on daily basis, so using big and high-sounding words may be difficult to understand and will discourage most of your reader. Use simple sentences that would easily catch-up with.

Calligraphic Font – this is a very serious error that most website designers make, it is not every users that understand some fonts. Simple, clear and general fonts can encourage your readers. Fonts like Arial, Times New Roman are my best choice since all browsers and Word-processing versions are compatible with them.

Don’t Over-rely on HTML but try CSS – some website designers stick to HTML only which can best create layout and  pages but CSS has more advantages over it. CSS now has too many functions and more speed than HTML.

Avoid Excessive External Links – linking your pages to other websites is good, but doing it in excess may totalling divert your reader’s attention, especially when those sites have more valuable contents than yours.

Avoid Unclear Domain Name – every website designers should understand that his domain name is his main business or company name. Keep it simple and short, so that it will be easy to remember at all times.

Don't Host Your Website Unreliable Company: The company you host your site may make or mar it. I carefully chose my hosting company and they have good tutorials in case you are new to domain registration and hosting. They have excellent customers care. If you want to host your blog or website, Click here and follow step-by-step instruction.

Hidden Contact – Please do not hide your contact information. This is where your readers could contact you for any question. It will also create confidentiality to them.

This topic is actually a broad one but I will welcome your comments and suggestion on this. Make sure that you follow for updates.
